Saturday November 16 ,1776. The battle of Fort Washington and the British. I am witnessing the Battle of Fort Washington right now at this very moment we are in New York at battle . Sadly the British won . The only reason the British won is because the Fort Washington surrendered to the British .  This is one of the worst patriot defeats .After defeating the continental army under commander in chief general George Washington  at the battle of white plains , the British army forces under the command of lieutenant general Willam  Howe  planned to capture Fort Washington. General George Washington issued a discretionary order to General Nathanael Greene to abandon the fort and remove its garrison then numbered at  1,200 men but later to grow to 3,000 to new Jersey.

First it started to rain .  Then we got soaked .   After that we ran into the building . Then the thunder and lightning lasted for hours.

1772 Corbin dressed as a man and joined the Pennsylvania millitary

Congress gave her life long pension

She was formaly discharged in 1773

  In 1776 she received AID from the Government

She was discharged from the Continental Army in 1783

 On June 29 1779 the exclusive council of Pennsylvania gave her 30$
